I created this limited edition coloring book in 2016 while living and working in Hudson NY. These flower mandalas have proportions which incorporate the numbers of the Fibonacci Sequence. The same pattern of proportions is repeated in the angles of their spiraling centers. To create artwork that combines math and nature is something I find to be both engaging and meditative. These are some of my favorite flowers, alyssum, passionflower, poppy, daisy, columbine, and sunflower, to name a few. Drawn in pencil with a compass and protractor on Bristol Board, and finalized with a brush and ink.
